Components of a Raw Dog Food Diet

Raw Meat

Raw meat is the cornerstone of this diet. It provides essential proteins and fats. At Nurturing by Nature we only select  high-quality, human-grade meat for the minced meals and chunks, that we produce and we have found that this attentive selection process ensures consistently hig quality results.Minced meals are not essential although they produce a meal for your pet that is easy to digest. They provide a great introduction to any Raw Pet Food Diet.

Bones

Bones are crucial for calcium and phosphorus in terms of nutrients but they add far much more than just nutrion in a Raw Pet Food Diet.

They help clean your dog's teeth and in the eating process provide your pet with natural enrichment that floods your pets body with the release of endorphines, simulating natural behaviours and challanges.

Ensure the bones are appropriate for your dog's size to avoid choking hazards.

Organs

Organs like liver and kidneys are nutrient powerhouses. They provide vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids. Include organs in your dog's diet regularly for balanced nutrition. Be mindful to understand that these meats are nutrient powerhouses and you don't need to feed much. You'll know if you feed too much by the time the next toilet break comes!!

Vegetables and Fruits

At Nurturing by Nature we don't believe that these are essential to your pet's diet. It's nice to add some veg to your pet's diet as they do provide a source of fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants. However, not all fruits and veggies are safe for dogs. Research which ones are suitable before adding them to the diet.

Please also be mindful that many other companies often add ingredients such as pea's and carrots to their food to sell their food to us the humans. Unless they are greated finely or blixed they are very hard ingredients for our pet's to digest.

Monitor Your Dog's Health

An investment that will consistently pay you back. Invest time to keep an eye on your dog's health during the transition and when feeding new meals. The signs of digestive upset or different reactions along with any changes of your pet's normal behaviour may help you make either the same or different choices in the future. Use your understand =ing to either adjust the diet as needed to ensure your dog's well-being.
